Sevastopol excursions → Excursion #2 Sevastopol - Balaklava - Yalta
During this excursion we will visit Livadia Palace - place of Yalta's Conference of 1945 (Stalin, Churchill and Roosevelt) and summer residence of Russian Tsar Nicolas II, who has been executed after Russian Revolution in 1918. We will stop at observation platform to see Swallow's Nest Castle - real symbol of Crimea, we will visit St. Mikhail Church in Oreanda - church on the rock - great location and great view on Yalta. Then we comeback to Sevastopol. First we will visit former Nuclear Submarine Base in Balaklava and stop at observation platform to see valley of Death, where during the Crimean War in 1854 died Legendary Light Brigade. Next we visit The Panorama Museum in Sevastopol - unique type of Museum, representing one day of Battle during the Crimean War: siege of Sevastopol in 1855 (in fact cyclorama with 3D-vision: something painted - huge picture 115x14 m. and something is real - the foreground has real things!!!)
